One of Arizona's most charming and historic cities opens its doors for visitors to explore. The 31st Annual Florence Historic Home Tour gives guests a peek at the territorial history of the area with more than 20 buildings on the tour route. The self-guided walk begins in downtown Florence and includes a wide variety of architectural styles. Shuttles are provided to outlying historical buildings.
The theme for the Home Tour, “Florence: Born of Adobe Brick and the Frontier Spirit,” will be demonstrated in several accompanying events. The San Tan Foothills High School Drama Club will perform two re-enactments of Pearl Hart, female stage coach robber at the Second Pinal County Courthouse at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Members of the Buffalo Soldiers will present a camp re-enactment and presentation at 2:00 p.m. at the Pinal County Historical Museum. The Florence Arts and Culture Commission will present a Quick Draw Art Event beginning at 10:00 a.m. All visitors are welcome on February 11th to enjoy these events as well as the historical homes and buildings.
The tour takes place February 9, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is $15 per person.
