Arizona Weather

  • Arizona Weather diverse as its topography

  • Due to its vast area and dramatic changes in elevation, the state has a wide variety of localized climate conditions. Therefore the Arizona weather can be as varied as its topography.

Arizona Weather

In the lower elevations in the South, the climate is primarily desert, with mild winters and extremely hot summers. Typically, from late fall to early spring, the weather is mild, averaging a minimum of 60 °F (16 °C). November through February are the coldest months, with temperatures typically ranging from 40 to 75 °F (4 to 24 °C), with occasional frosts and rare snow. (Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tucson)

In the North, on top of the Colorado Plateau at the higher elevations above 6000 feet, the temperature is appreciably cooler with milder summers and colder Winters. (Flagstaff, Page, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley).
Most of the area in Arizona is classified as semi-arid to arid climates. Therefore very little rainfall and very low humidity (remember its a dry heat ...haha).
