The Apache Culture Center is located in Peridot on the Apache Reservation. The center opened in 1995 and tells the story of the Apache people through informative exhibits. Visitors can learn about ceremonies such as the Changing Women and enjoy paintings, jewelry, burden baskets and cradle boards that are part of the Apache way of life. The center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is $3 per person.
 
The town of Peridot is located between Globe and Safford on Highway 70. It is named for the mineral Peridot, which can be found in the volcanic hillsides between Peridot and Globe.
